All Star vs. All Star Prep - What's the difference??
Both divisions are recognized as competitive divisions by the Alberta Cheerleading Association. All Star teams attend 5 competitions one of which is out of province. Prep teams attend 3 competitions within Alberta. The season is also different in that All Star starts in May and runs full year while prep starts in September and runs until April. Prep is a great division for those just starting out in cheer or for those that are looking for a program with a smaller financial and time commitment.
*Tiny Novice:
Tiny Novice is a new division in Alberta for young athletes to start them off in the sport. This teams starts September 2019 and will run until mid March 2020. They will practice once a week, attend 2 local competitions, and perform at our winter showcase. Competitions begin in January and run until mid- March. All competitions are mandatory as the team cannot perform properly with athletes missing. Uniform cost to be determined.
Prep:
Registration for Prep (competitive) will not begin until June. These teams start September 2019 and run until mid April 2020. These teams practice once a week, attend 3 local competitions, is a lower commitment and more affordable than the fully competitive teams. Competitions begin in January and run until mid- April. All competitions are mandatory as the team cannot perform properly with athletes missing. Please review our attendance policy prior to registering for a competitive team. If you are unable to commit to the full season please consider registering for one of our recreational teams.
Uniforms:
Uniforms are used for 2 seasons before a new uniform will be needed (this is the second year). Uniform includes make up and competition bow. If you need to order a new uniform the fee must be paid by September 15th.
Registration Fee Includes:
Practice T-shirt, insurance, professional music, choreography, all competition entrance fees, ACA Membership, Cheer Canada Membership & GST. There is NO fundraising required, however there are fundraisers all year round for those interested. To contact the parents association please email them directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
**Registration fees do not include shoes. All athletes need plain white runners that will be for indoor use only.
